Notice anything different?

Design Yes, this is CPA Success -- same blog, same daily analysis of the issues that impact CPAs, their clients and the business world at large.

Our look, though, has changed a bit.

There are a couple of reasons for the facelift:

  1. Our previous design looked great, but it wasn't very flexible. It was difficult to add new content to the sidebars of the blog, and we had lots of new information -- news feeds from MACPA.org and other sources, new CPA Spotlight podcasts, feeds from the MACPA's Twitter account, access to our social networks, and more -- that we wanted to share with you. This new design makes it easy for us to add new content quickly.

  2. We've been around for a couple of years now, and we just thought it was time for a change.

Thanks for your patience as we try out this new design. We hope you like it! Feel free to use the comments feature below to let us know how we're doing -- and what you think we can do to improve.

Most of all, thanks for reading!

Welcome to CPA Success!

Stuffed shirts and bean-counters? Not Maryland's CPAs! The state's most trusted business advisors break the mold. Sure, they know how to crunch numbers -- but they know how to do a lot more, too.  They're world travelers, authors, politicians, rock stars, tech gurus, innovators and business leaders -- and they've got some great stories to tell.

"CPA Success," the Maryland Association of CPAs' launching point into the blogosphere, aims to tell those stories.

This blog will feature occasional snapshots of some of our most innovative members. It's our hope that their stories will inspire you to find your own brand of CPA success.

Welcome aboard! It's going to be a fun ride ...

About newsfeeds and RSS

I know what you're thinking: "What's that orange square on the left-hand side of this blog? What are all those weird icons beneath it?"

Don't be scared -- they just represent a new way to get your online content.

That orange square is the universally accepted logo for "RSS." It stands for "Really Simple Syndication," and it's an increasingly popular means of delivering the news and information you want directly to your computer. This blog is updated frequently, and by establishing an RSS feed, you can automatically receive new blog entries without having to visit the blog.

The icons underneath the RSS logo represent RSS readers.  New blog posts can be delivered automatically to these readers. So if you already have, say, a "My Yahoo" account, new entries to our blog can be delivered automatically to your "My Yahoo" page. It's a great way of having content delivered to you so you don't have to find it yourself.
